I have two poems that I want to share. Here's the first one.
Seventeen
When I think of seventeen
I think of my old black jacket
I think of Wedgwood
I think of you

When I think of seventeen
I think of going away
I think of hospitals
I think of us

When I think of seventeen
I think of lies told
I think of coming clean
I think of breaking your heart

I don't want to think about seventeen


Here's the second one.
Don't.
Don't care about me
I don't need your pity
And I don't need another person to hurt
Don't ask me why I'm hurt
I don't need your words of encouragement
I don't need your lies
It's not getting better
And your going to leave eventually
Don't make me care
Because then when you go
It's going to hurt
And I don't wanna hurt
Don't make me lie
I don't wanna hurt you
And I don't wanna make you cry

your first poem makes me remember what being seventeen felt like (not that far away^^). Love, depression, and the small things that mean so much.

The song you picked definitely reminds me of my poem and of simpler times. It was a lot harder at the same time. It's hard to explain unless you were there or going into a lot of detail. The song though, I have a CD that I think that's on but it's damaged. It's a Fleetwood Mac CD. I'm glad you enjoyed the poems though.
