Who wants a gallery??
#1
Well, even if you don't want it, it is back!  I'm going to have to play some with the old pictures to see how to get them on this forum but they are all there - we just can't see them (yet?).

I've started the gallery off with pictures of two of my friends ( er ... friends in fur, that is ) feel free to add your own pictures.  Pictures of rug-rats and pets and personal (non-pornographic!) pictures are welcome and let us get a feeling for what you all are doing.  If anyone would like a personal space for your pictures drop me a PM and, like the Blog area of the forum I can set you up a personal (an area for your pictures), public (so that others can see your talent) category.

Side Note:  This is the ezGallery Lite edition for MyBB there is an ezGallery Pro edition that would make the import of the old pictures a snap (it has a batch import option).  At one time I wouldn't have thunk twice about paying the US$39.95 for the upgrade ... but honestly folks, I'm having a hard time justifying the cost of the hosting for CSS much less paying for something that *I* don't need.

Just a sample of how to use the gallery.
After you've uploaded your picture, copy the direct link
Click on link in the message editor - erase the existing "http://" (there's already one on the link) insert your saved link, enter the text and click insert ... that's all there is to it.
A caveat while uploading pictures, don't use any special characters in the text, it'll give an SQL error ( no ' " & : ... well you should know the drill by now.)
Extra caveat, though I really don't expect members to post things they shouldn't, be aware that pictures must be approved by someone on staff before they're visible. I'm sorry for the need to do this, but there are people who will post things just for the heck of it ... I don't need someone to be triggered by stupidity.

That one is Sasha although I have pictures of both of them in the pet section.
Well that was interesting the first line was done with speech recognition and it actually does a pretty good job of recognizing my voice.

No fair! I don't get speech recognition for web pages. I'm jealous!
