Void of Darkness

[Meliadus]

I am lost in the black void of darkness
which has held me prisoner for so long.

For a great time I have treaded its waters
but I am losing my grip and can't hang on.

I can hear many voices all around me
and I try to scream out in dismay.

The sounds from inside me are unheard
and those voices slowly fade away.

I slowly sink beneath the dark waters
my hand reaches out and I give one last cry.

All around the figures can see me drown
but no one comes and I slowly fade and die.
