The Chauffeur

No, I'm not looking for love.
I ache for some anguish,
for a reason to be miserable.

No, I'm searching for someone
who might be able to
break my heart.

For a new obsession,
sizeable and strong
and directly to blame.

A driver; a little lunacy.
So I can stop
focusing on the road.

The Eleventh Doctor: Nobody important? Blimey, that's amazing. You know that in nine hundred years of time and space and I've never met anybody who wasn't important before.

thanks for sharing. It takes courage to put your work out there!

It is very interesting to me because i often see a car as a great metaphor for life.

I like  your honesty. It is a strong message. No bullshit and straight to the point.
and sadly(for me) I can relate. I find in myself that i don't want to drive my own car-so to speak-
or take charge of what is. I focus on what could have been, perhaps ??? what should have been.

thanks you for prompting me to question,
i hope to read more of your work,

best wishes,
Cordelia
