What's the Saddest Song You've Ever Heard?
#51
"Just Like Heaven" by The Cure.

The video, very old I know, makes me cry and smile at the same time, in my dreams every night.

This song always made me cry. Amy Lee wrote it in memory of her younger sister, Bonnie, who died at age 3. It's about her coming to the realization that Bonnie is dead.
“The thought of suicide is a great consolation: by means of it one gets through many a dark night.” Friedrich Nietzsche

This, too, shall pass.

If You Knew, by Joel Faviere.
Short, but poignant.

That's a pretty powerful song.

Jeremy by Pearl Jam.  It is about Jeremy Wade Delle who in Feb 1991 died by suicide in front of his English class.   Every time I hear it I instantly become suicidal.  HUGE TRIGGER WARNING  if you look it up on YouTube.
-----===A Poem about a black rose I wrote===-----
Your thorns are still there, bitting into my heart.
Your canes wrap around my heart like barb wire.
Twisting too and fro with the movement.
Tearing and ripping holes in my heart.
Droplets of blood glistening red on the sharp green points.
Feeding Iron and nutrients to you while draining me.

I'm finding anything by Linkin Park sad now when you listen to it with the knowledge of Chester Bennington's suicide. One that particularly touches me is In the End, especially these lyrics:

I tried so hard,
and got so far
But in the end
it doesn't even matter.
