Stanzas
#1
1.

To enter in oblivion,
To vanquish every sore;
To sleep a while, and dream anon
Of never waking more.

2.

Out of sight and out of mind
But always in my heart
You left your countenance behind
And visions to impart

Upon this wretched troglodyte
A tremor in the soul
And memories of days delight
When you and I were whole

For ever he will think of you
As long as he draws breath
The one who let her dream come true
While he was courting death

Yet doth it not so dreary seem
To one who did observe
The casual couple by the stream
Inciting mallards' verve

Breadcrumbs scatter and disperse
The pond regains its calm
Where else in all the universe
Might lovers find their charm?

In tangled webs of mystery
Lie hidden all the truth
I never tried so hard to see
In my unfettered youth

Within the whisper of the sea
I hear, but much too late
The melancholy melody
The Siren song of fate

Aye, that siren song of fate that I hear as well.

Nicely done, friend //al

The Eleventh Doctor: Nobody important? Blimey, that's amazing. You know that in nine hundred years of time and space and I've never met anybody who wasn't important before.

Wow!  The power there is intense (these words hit me perfectly on a personal level, but I think they'd hold great power in any case).  Even before I realized those lines were really a volta, they struck me.

You are exceptionally good.
