I hope that your medical procedure isn't anything too serious.  I'm looking at having some work done on my hands (dupuytrans contraction) but I'm having a hard time justifying the trip 300 miles up the road to have it done.  Midland is an oil town and the cheapest room I can find, since I have to stay overnight, is in the $200 range.  Room, gas and food and that begins to suck!!
